Designers Saturday suspended walkway

This bespoke structure was constructed by Jakob as a centre piece to the Langenthal designers exhibition. The ply floor stiffened with joists cantilevers out some 10m over the space and exhibition goers below held aloft by a combination of tensile cables and Webnet mesh. The mesh in this instance shows its load bearing capacity and suitability in high load and fall protection situations, the 40mm aperture 1.5mm wires form a transparent barrier between the user and the space beyond.
